David continued to succeed in everything he did, for the Lord was with him. – 1 Samuel 18: 14
Success. It’s something we all desire in life, but the idea of achieving it can generate so much anxiety.
Many of us come down with the “what if’s” and paralyze ourselves before we even take any concrete steps to reach our goals.
- What if I don’t have enough time?
- What if I’m not smart enough?
- What if I burn out?
- What if I come across too many obstacles?
- What if I don’t have enough support?
- What if I do things the wrong way?
- What if I fail?
We put too much pressure on ourselves to achieve our goals when God, in His loving-kindness, has already made provisions for us to be successful.
David didn’t slay Goliath because he had superior sling-shot throwing skills. He just aimed in faith, and God moved the winds and carried the rock so it would hit its target.
And He will carry us to our destinations too if we aim in faith.
Yes, the tasks will be daunting.
Yes, we will come across stumbling blocks and dead ends.
Yes, we will experience frustration and fatigue.
But we must know that when our projects are designed to give God the glory, He will be with us every step of the way and He will NOT allow us to fail.
He will place the right people in our lives at the exact moment we need help.
And He will give us the tools and strength we need to keep going.
All we have to do is move along the path He’s already carved out for us, one foot in front of the other, one step at a time.
And it doesn’t matter if we’re 18 or 85.
When God places a passion in our hearts so that He will be edified, He will be faithful to manifest our success.
So we should go ahead and praise Him in advance because He’s already made us winners who will succeed in everything we do!
Be blessed,
Alexia
Prayer: God, I have a dream in my heart, but I’m worried that I don’t have what it takes to make it happen. Help me to see your vision for my life the way you see it. And help me to understand that as long as I am diligently moving in faith, my best is good enough because you will fill in the gaps where I am lacking. Lord, bless me with the desires of my heart and make me a success so that I can be a blessing to others. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.
thank you! praise god amen!
Praise God indeed! Lol 🙂
Amen. I agree Alexia that we can be our own biggest critics. It took me some time, but I had to realize that God was in the drivers seat and I was only a passenger. We have to learn to trust God where He has us. When we have a burden for something, pray that He will give us discernment to follow the path He has given us so that He may get all the glory and honor. Our lives are not our own.
