Many sacrifices were offered on that joyous day, for God had given the people cause for great joy. The women and children also participated in the celebration, and the joy of the people of Jerusalem could be heard far away. – Nehemiah 12: 43

Do you remember a time in your youth when you took a dive into the deep end of a community pool?

Well, I vividly remember standing at the edge of the diving board at 10 years old, frightened, yet excited to jump in.

When I bent my knees and hopped off the board, all I felt was freedom and weightlessness as though I had taken flight.

And when I was fully submerged under the water, I felt as light as a feather as I glided back to the surface.

That’s the sort of weightlessness we feel when we’re fully immersed in the Holy Spirit, isn’t it?

When we’re so deep in worship and submission to God’s will, nothing can shake our joy.

When we know that no matter what our situation looks like, there’s never a need to worry, get anxious, be concerned, or be dejected because the Comforter has already mapped out our victory.

To be fully immersed in God’s presence and His way means that when we dive in, whatever problems that came with us float away into His hands.

And all we’re left with is His profound love for us and His perfect sovereignty over our lives.

To be fully immersed is to willfully give all that we are over to Him for His purpose, dissolving our attachments to desired outcomes, wants, and needs.

It is a place of perfect peace and unification with God where we understand that we exist only to serve and please Him.

To be immersed in the Spirit is truly a priceless joy that stretches from this life into all eternity!

Be blessed,

Alexia

Prayer: God, as I move through the days of my life, help me to not focus on my earthly needs and desires, but on your eternal love that never fails. Every morning that I wake up, encourage me to immerse myself completely in your presence, in your will, and in your way. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
