Years ago, one of my uncles told me that there wasn’t a joy in this world greater than worshipping God.

When he said it, his eyes lit up, and I could tell that he meant every word he said.

And then I thought to myself, What exactly does that feel like? I want to know for myself.

Now as I reflect on the Spirit of God, I’m overcome with joy and emotion as I praise Him for who He is and what He’s done:

  • He created every person I’ve ever loved.
  • He fills me with laughter, and teaches me what it means to be at peace.
  • He created the flowers I adorn my home with.
  • He created the animals that I adore and feel affection for.
  • He gave me a variety of food to enjoy and sustain my body.
  • He gave me waterfalls, beaches, and all sorts of natural wonders to look at in awe.

But the most special thing about God is that He’s given me mercy and forgiveness when I don’t really deserve it.

He’s promised me eternal life to rest on the celestial shores of His kingdom.

When I think about the power of the Lord and all that He’s done and will do for me, my heart sings joyful praises to Him because there’s none like Him.

He is love itself and I am overjoyed to worship Him every day of my life and for all of eternity.

My uncle was absolutely right.

There is no joy comparable to the joy of being with God and worshipping Him.

And I pray that everyone comes to know this joy like I do.

Be blessed,

Alexia

Prayer: Lord, thank you for being who you are. Thank you for giving me breath and finding me worthy of your love. You are awesome and your presence is all I need to feel fulfilled. I will sing praises to you with a joyful heart because you are magnificent beyond words and deserve all of my devotion. In Jesus’ Name, I pray. Amen.
