If I asked everyone reading this right now to raise their hand if they’ve ever had an experience where they felt judged unfairly, I’m sure most everyone’s hands would be raised.

It’s unfortunate, but sometimes people can latch on to a preconceived notion about us and hold onto it with a kung-fu-like grip.

Never letting go of their animosity, grudges, or distaste.

But when that happens, we have to remind ourselves that a judgmental or merciless spirit is not of God.

And if we ever find ourselves in a space where we are condemning, shunning, or snubbing someone, we have to stop and evaluate where that spirit in us is coming from.

Because it ain’t coming from God!

God wants us to treat people with love, compassion, understanding, and forgiveness, kind of the way He treats us…

When dealing with others, we have to take into account that there’s so much about them that we don’t know.

And we must know that it’s extremely unfair to hold such unrelenting standards for others when we ourselves are sinners.

We don’t have the right to condemn, shun, snub, or be stand-off-ish to anyone.

God doesn’t want us to go down that path.

The only thing God wants to see in our hearts is a reflection of the love that comes from His Son Jesus Christ.

Be blessed,

Alexia

Prayer: God, I know I’m a sinner and I don’t always see other people through your eyes. But when I get tempted to judge, condemn, or write off one of your other children, fill me with your love and understanding so I will not treat another person in a way that I would not want to be treated. Help me to show love, grace, mercy, and forgiveness to everyone I come across. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
