If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you…But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. – James 1: 5-7

When Jesus began His public ministry, so many people were witnesses to His miracles.

And those who came to Him with a believing spirit saw the impossible happen in their lives.

However, Mark 6: 5-6 tells us that He couldn’t perform miracles in His hometown:

And because of their unbelief, he couldn’t do any miracles among them except to place his hands on a few sick people and heal them…He was amazed at their unbelief.

When you think about it, it’s really a tragedy that they missed out on so many amazing blessings.

But if we look back over our lives, how many times has our doubt blocked the mountain-moving power of God from working on our behalf?

How many times has God shaken His head at our lack of faith?

In our walk with God, we need to really understand that our faith is key when it comes to seeing Him work in our lives.

When we go to Him, we have to genuinely believe He is who He says He is and can do anything, no matter how impossible it looks to us from our earthly perspective.

Because when we do, we’ll see some incredible things happen in our lives!

Be blessed,

Alexia

Prayer: God, forgive me for the times I’ve been filled with doubt and unbelief. Right now I ask that you fill me up with the power of your Holy Spirit so I can worship you with undivided faith. If there’s anything in my heart that is preventing me from accessing your power, please remove it. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
