“‘…and I will destroy every living thing – all the people, the large animals, the small animals that scurry along the ground, and even the birds of the sky. I am sorry I ever made them.’ But Noah found favor with the Lord.” – Genesis 6: 7-8.
In the 5th chapter of Genesis, there is a written account of the descendants of Adam. And Scripture tells us that Enoch walked in close fellowship with God.
But a few generations after Enoch, all chaos broke loose.
What I find astounding about chapter 6 of Genesis is that God was so disgusted with life on earth, He even wanted to destroy the little animals! My first thought when reading this was Goodness, God…What did the cute little squirrels do?
But apparently, everything was so out of wack, it broke God’s heart.
HOWEVER,
Among all that wickedness and chaos, NOAH FOUND FAVOR WITH GOD!
Isn’t that amazing? When you walk with God and put Him first in your life, He sees you (even if the world around you is falling apart).
Nobody is perfect. We’re all sinners. But God wants us to cultivate a genuine heart for Him and walk with Him.
So today, ask Jesus to help you walk a little closer with God and not be led astray by the world.
Remember, God is still in the business of showing favor!
Be blessed,
Alexia
