O Lord, how long will you forget me? Forever? How long will you look the other way? How long must I struggle with anguish in my soul, with sorrow in my heart every day? – Psalms 13: 1-2
Have you ever felt like God has completely forgotten about you?
Like you’ve been praying for a long time, but God just hasn’t been listening?
I’ve felt like that way too many times to count.
And I’ll admit that there are still some areas of my life where I’m scratching my head and wondering, How long will God look the other way?
But when we have those days where we feel exhausted, we have to remind ourselves that God is always with us, and He knows how our lives will unfold.
Our deadlines don’t mean anything to God because He knows what we stand in need of at each moment of our lives.
We may want our businesses to flourish, or start families, or heal from certain conditions.
But God sees us in a way that we can’t see ourselves and while we want certain things to happen (or stop happening), He’s orchestrating events in our lives so that He can develop our character and give us spiritual maturity.
We have to understand that God wants our hearts to be in the right condition above anything else.
So we should never believe the lie that God has forgotten about us or He’s chosen to look the other way, when He’s with us every moment of our lives.
When we’re in those moments of spiritual fatigue, we have to surrender everything to God and say, “Lord, I’m at a loss. I can’t make sense of my life right now. But I trust you and your plan.”
And we must pray without ceasing for understanding, revelation, insight, and breakthroughs.
Because only God can give us those things.
We must keep the faith and never lose hope, when God, in His infinite and miraculous power, has given us so much to hope for.
In His time, He will unveil the blessings we’ve been waiting for.
Be blessed,
Alexia
Prayer: God, I’m dealing with serious spiritual fatigue right now and I admit that I feel like my prayers have fallen on deaf ears. But right now, I surrender everything to you. And even though I am tired, I submit to the plan you have for my life, whatever it may be. God, fill me up right now with your Holy Spirit and bring to me more revelation, more wisdom, more understanding, and more energy. Lead me closer to my breakthrough each and every day. And give me strength and courage to continue fighting in this battle of faith. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
Amen Alexia!! This was so good! I believe we all go through spiritual fatigue at some point or another and feel like God doesn’t hear us. The thing about it tho is that He hears us and He sees us! He already knows our lives from beginning to end. We have to trust and believe that He is working so things together for our good!
This spoke to me today Alexia. I needed to be reminded of this. God is always on time and he always answers us in his time NOT our time.
this part!: “God wants our hearts to be in the right condition above anything else.”
thank god for the beauty of divine timing saturated in grace and love!
