…the gracious hand of his God was on him. This was because Ezra had determined to study and obey the Law of the Lord and to teach those decrees and regulations to the people of Israel. – Ezra 7: 9-10.
Humility, grace, patience, and forgiveness are all traits that God loves to see in us.
But when we love Him enough to truly seek Him, we are really touching a special place in His heart.
2 Chronicles 16: 9 says, “the eyes of the Lord search the whole earth in order to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to Him.”
And the best way to show Him we’re committed is through reading His word and actively doing what it says.
When His eyes find a committed soul, it’s as if He grabs ahold of them and proclaims, “Don’t mess with this one! This one is mine!”
He will defend us, cover us, protect us, and clear our pathways like we wouldn’t believe.
Now is Scripture always an easy read? No. Is it sometimes dry and challenging for our attention spans? Yes. Are 90% of the names impossible to pronounce? Absolutely.
But the Bible is the sole divinely inspired text that connects us to the one true living God.
And when we’re determined to read it, live it, and share it, we tap into God’s special treasury of favor that can’t be undone.
Be blessed,
Alexia
Prayer: God, I don’t want to live life without your gracious hand on me, so fill me with the will and determination to study your word, even if it’s difficult for me to understand. Reveal to me the meaning of your Scripture so I may apply it to my life and effectively share it with others. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
