Loneliness is one of the most soul-crushing feelings known to man.

I know firsthand how painful it is to feel like you’ve been cast away in a dark and empty prison cell with no one to help or comfort you at the lowest and most torturous moment of your life.

In my loneliness, I felt misunderstood, unwanted, judged, alienated, hated, unworthy, and even inferior.

Loneliness is a condition so bad, that I imagine even the devil himself wouldn’t wish it on anybody.

But the God we serve is full of unfailing love, and we should understand that it is NOT in His will for us to deteriorate in the endless misery of isolation.

He created us to be comforted by the warmth of loving family and friends.

So when you feel disconnected and isolated, the most effective solution to your problem is to cry out to the Lord.

Because He will listen and shine a beautiful light on your situation.

He will send earth angels to comfort you.

He will give you the discernment and strength you need to reach out to the right people at the right time.

He will pick you up out of your pit and place you in a support circle.

I know, because that’s exactly what He did for me.

So if you’re reading this and you’ve been suffering from the sting of loneliness, know that you are loved, you are held, and you are a cherished member of the family of God.

Be blessed,

Alexia

Prayer: Dear God, please heal me of this crushing loneliness I’ve been feeling. Please surround me right now with your comforting presence so that I can be assured of your promise to free me from this prison of isolation. Your Word says that you are close to the brokenhearted, so heal me of this brokenness that I feel. Fill this void for me so I can flourish with joy and purpose. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
