“Why must you go to the pagan Philistines to find a wife?” But Samson told his father, “Get her for me! She looks good to me.” His father and mother didn’t realize the Lord was at work in this, creating an opportunity to work against the Philistines, who ruled over Israel at that time. – Judges 14: 3-4

Did you know that when you allow God to take the reigns in your life, He will not only influence the circumstances around you, but everything inside of you too?

The Holy Spirit can envelope you, seep into your mind, and influence your thoughts and emotions.

This is what was the case with Samson.

Before he was born, the angel of the Lord appeared to his parents and told them that they would have a son who would be dedicated to God as a Nazirite from birth.

So from the very beginning of his life, Samson was completely under the influence of God.

So much so, that he didn’t even realize when God was guiding him.

He didn’t know why he wanted that Philistine woman so much, but God gave him that desire in order to accomplish His purpose.

Isn’t it amazing that God guides us even when we’re not consciously aware of it?

When we submit to Him and give Him full control over our lives, He’ll sharpen our intuition and give us wisdom and discernment.

He’ll motivate our thoughts and actions so that we end up in the right place at the right time to get the help we need or to help somebody else.

All we have to do is pray to be in alignment with His will, and He’ll go to work to make magic happen!

Today, take some time to pray the Lord’s prayer. Ask God to give you the right thoughts. Ask Him to help you make the right moves. And ask Him to influence your emotions with His Holy Spirit so that you can be a vessel for His purpose.

Be blessed,

Alexia

Amen 🙏🏾 the power of the Holy Spirit!! I feel so empowered knowing that I’m not governing my own decisions, but He is – leading and guiding me along every step. Trusting and knowing that every situation, every circumstance, is all in His hands. He is orchestrating everything together for my good!
