Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do. This is my command – be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go. – Joshua 1: 8-9

The Lord God is our strength.

We can depend on Him to satisfy all of our needs and conquer every challenge that we face.

But we must understand that our relationship with Him is not a one-way street.

God gives grace to all, but in order to be a beneficiary of His unfailing protection and favor, He requires some things from us too.

He wants us to learn about Him through reading His Word. And He wants our obedience.

Because when we are armed with the knowledge of the Word, we truly understand how good and powerful He is.

We understand exactly why He’s worthy to be worshipped, adored, and praised.

And we understand exactly why we should put our total confidence in Him.

How insulting is it to God for us to know all about His power and His goodness, read about His miraculous signs and wonders, yet still walk in fear and trembling when we face opposition and challenges?

That’s like being afraid of a chihuahua when you’ve got a fully grown lion protecting you!

When you trust in the truth of God’s Word, you can approach any challenge with strength and courage.

Never doubt His power. Be strong and courageous.

That’s His command!

Be blessed,

Alexia
