As they approached, Jesus said, “Now here is a genuine son of Israel – a man of complete integrity.” “How do you know about me?” Nathanael asked. Jesus replied, “I could see you under the fig tree before Philip found you.” – John 1: 47-48

Jesus isn’t Santa Claus, but He sees us when we’re sleeping and He knows when we’re awake.

He knows our hearts inside and out, and His timing is never late.

Whether we feel all alone, misunderstood, overlooked, hopeless, depressed, or anything else, He already knows.

When Philip met with Jesus, he immediately searched for Nathanael to tell him that the Messiah had arrived.

And as Nathanael approached Jesus for the first time ever, Jesus already knew everything about his character.

Through His omniscience and omnipresence, He even found Nathanael sitting under a fig tree before Philip physically found him.

Convicted, Nathanael immediately acknowledged that Jesus was the Son of God.

However Jesus’ response was one for the ages:

Do you believe this just because I told you I had seen you under the fig tree? You will see greater things than this.

Just as Jesus saw Nathanael ahead of time, even before we see and feel problems manifesting in our lives, Jesus already sees them.

And He’s already developed an antidote before we even begin to think about how to cure ourselves.

All we have to do is believe and trust wholeheartedly that Jesus holds all power in His hands – just like Nathanael.

And we will see His healing glory rain down on us like we could never imagine.

Prayer: God, help me to be more and more convicted by the power of your Son Jesus everyday. Give me peace in knowing that whatever I go through, you already know about it and already have a solution to my problems. Right now, I ask that you would increase my faith and remove any doubts that I may have so I can feel and see the unmatchable power of Christ at work in my life. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
