Then he said, “Don’t be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day you began to pray for understanding and to humble yourself before your God, your request has been heard in heaven. I have come to answer your prayer…” -Daniel 10: 12

If you’ve ever worked in a customer service role, chances are you’ve encountered a few people who insist on reaching out to you multiple times about the same issue.

They send email after email even though you specifically told them you would circle back with them when you had a resolution.

And you think to yourself, Sir (or Ma’am), message received, ok? You will have an answer when it’s time for you to have an answerso give it a rest!

But if we take a step back and evaluate ourselves, how often do we do that with God?

Praying incessantly about the same issue as though we believe our prayers didn’t reach God’s ears the first time?

It’s hard to resist having a prayer marathon when we need and want God to show up.

But if we genuinely believe that God is sovereign, all-powerful, miraculous and that He loves us, we have to know that God goes to work on our behalf before our prayers even pass through our lips.

We should know in our hearts that His timing and wisdom are perfect and that His desire for us is that we pray and believe, not pray and doubt.

Because when we do, we activate His power and we allow His peace which surpasses all understanding to guard our hearts and minds through Jesus Christ!

Be blessed,

Alexia

Prayer: God, help me break the habit of doubting when I pray. Help me to truly understand that prayer is a powerful weapon, that you know my needs and desires better than I do, and that your power has no earthly or heavenly limits. Fill me with your incomprehensible peace as I patiently wait to hear from you. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
