The rain and snow come down from the heavens and stay on the ground to water the earth. They cause the grain to grow, producing seed for the farmer and bread for the hungry. It is the same with my word. I send it out, and it always produces fruit. It will accomplish all I want it to, and it will prosper everywhere I send it. – Isaiah 55: 10-11
In my walk with God, I’ve come to learn that He’s a living God – who sometimes delivers His messages to us in unique and mysterious ways.
But in our everyday lives, we don’t have to solve any mysteries to receive the primary life-giving Word He’s given to us.
All we have to do is open our Bibles and read the ancient Scrolls. But not just to take in a few encouraging Scriptures here and there that fit into the immediate context of our lives.
No.
I’m talking about taking the time to read it in its totality for spiritual comprehension, so that God can produce the fruit He wants to manifest for us in our lives.
It’s only when we carve out private time to read the Word for ourselves in addition to listening to our church leaders and attending group Bible studies, that we will access His divine wireless frequency.
When we tune into His word and pray for understanding, He will teach us how to discern His voice clearly and unequivocally.
And when His Word is hidden within our hearts, He will accomplish everything He’s set out to accomplish in our lives.
When we choose to make room for His Word, we will see the promise of His fruit in every aspect of our lives.
Be blessed,
Alexia
Prayer: God, right now I ask that you would give me a hunger for the Word that you have delivered to the world. Give me the heart and passion to seek your divine guidance each and every day. Teach me to discern your voice from the voice of false teachers. And help me to effectively encourage others to get to know you through your Scriptures. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
Amen 🙏🏾 I had a few thoughts after reading this devotional. First when you talked about the frequency it reminded me of a Priscilla Shirer sermon during the pandemic. I want to be in tune and connected to God’s wallow talkie. Not just so that I can pray to Him, but hear from Him as well.
There’s no feeling when you are able to discern the voice of God! It is such a beautiful thing!
