Unless your faith is firm, I cannot make you stand firm. – Isaiah 7: 9
Yesterday I wrote about how we can’t put our trust in other human beings for support because God is the only one who can really help us.
Well, this is true under one condition:
Our faith.
If we don’t truly believe that God can work for us, the simple fact is that He won’t.
From the beginning of the Bible to the very end, this principle stands firm.
Faith has been and will always be the fuel that God needs to move on our behalf.
So anytime we’re running a little low on juice, we should head straight over to Hebrews 11 to fill up our tank:
Faith shows the reality of what we hope for;
it is the evidence of things we cannot see.
Through their faith, the people in days of old earned a good reputation.
By faith we understand that the entire universe was formed at God’s command,
that what we now see did not come from anything that can be seen. – Hebrews 11: 1-2
God is mysterious, and unfathomable, and we can’t see Him with our physical eyes.
But if we dare to put our faith in Him, He will make His presence known.
God is so merciful and loving that if we squeeze out just a tiny bit of faith, He will go to work.
So today, whatever temperature your internal faith thermometer is set to, try as hard as you can to get it just a little hotter.
Because God will see you and He will reward you for it!
Be blessed,
Alexia
Prayer: God, I pray that right now you would fill me up to the brim with faith. Erase the doubts and uncertainties I have in my mind, and bind any demonic or distracting spirit that seeks to destroy my confidence in you. Give me the unwavering and unshakable faith I need for you to perform miracles. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
