Don’t put your trust in mere humans. They are as frail as breath. What good are they? – Isaiah 2: 22
Ever since the pandemic began, mental health has been pushed to the forefront of our collective minds.
Everywhere we turn, we see advertisements urging us to reach out for professional help and to talk to others about how we’re feeling.
And these initiatives are wonderful. I’m all for them.
But in my lowest moment of life, after I’d seen doctor after doctor, taken pill after pill, and gone to therapy session after therapy session, there came a day that there wasn’t a human being on this earth who I felt could help me.
My pain was so deep and excruciating that there wasn’t a soul or medical treatment around that could access it or reach it.
And one day, I decided once and for all that the best option I had available to me was to end my life.
It was only through a miraculous, jaw-dropping Divine Intervention where God spoke directly to my life and circumstance that I was diverted from making the most devastating and permanent decision I could ever make (read the full story here).
And it was at that point that I realized that human beings may know and understand some things, but as far as my life is concerned, only God knows everything.
And ultimately, only God can help.
That day, I was convicted that God’s love for me was more pure, good, and everlasting than any love a human being could ever have the capacity to give me.
And as I continue to read His Word and walk with Him, I am more and more convicted every day.
So take it from me:
No matter what you are facing in your life, no matter what you’ve been through… know that the living God is as REAL as the words you are reading right now.
Put 100% of your trust in Him because He is the way-maker, He is the healer, and He is the truth.
There is not a human being alive who can help you the way He can.
Be blessed,
Alexia
Prayer: God, draw me in closer and closer to you every day. Hold me in your everlasting arms and teach me how to trust you 100% in every circumstance of my life. When I don’t know what to do or who to talk to, convict me with your Holy Spirit and give me blessed assurance that your love will endure for me forever. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
