Commit everything you do to the Lord. Trust him, and he will help you. He will make your innocence radiate like the dawn, and the justice of your cause will shine like the noonday sun. Be still in the presence of the Lord, and wait patiently for him to act. – Psalms 37: 5-7
When we make the decision to take up our crosses and follow Jesus, that means everything we do must be in honor of Him:
Our performance at work must to glorify him.
When we prepare our meals, we must give thanks and honor Him.
When we speak to others, we must honor Him by showing love and grace.
And if we have to honor Him with the mundane aspects of our lives, how much more do we have to honor God with our goals and dreams?
When we pursue a passion, we have to do it for the glorification of God, or else it’s a worthless pursuit.
And we can’t live our purpose half-heartedly. It’s either go big or go home.
We have to reach as hard as we can for the stars knowing that we will touch them only with the help of our God.
We have to know that we’re not in it alone, and that God will only move when we move.
So when we’ve come to a place where we’ve truly given our all and don’t know what else to do, we can’t worry, anticipate failure, brood, overthink, or compare our lives to others.
We have to be still in the presence of our Almighty God and wait for Him to act.
Because he’s never broken a promise, and He’s never lost a fight.
He will bless us exceedingly and abundantly when we commit everything we do to Him.
Be blessed,
Alexia
Prayer: God, help me to stay strong and focused as I strive towards my goals in life. Help me to stay humble and be a light on my path, showing me who to connect with, what resources to use, how to organize myself, and how to get things done the right way. Lord, lead me away from worry and the arrogance of thinking I can do everything by myself. Help me to be patient and soothe my mind so that my work and my life will be pleasing to you. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
