I will be glad and rejoice in your unfailing love, for you have seen my troubles, and you care about the anguish of my soul. You have not handed me over to my enemies, but you have set me in a safe place. – Psalm 31: 7-8

If you look up the word “unfailing” in the Merriam-Webster dictionary, it’s defined as “reliable or constant” and “without error or fault.”

A few synonyms listed are: dependable, steadfast, sure, endless, and undying.

Now I don’t know about you, but I don’t know a single person who can offer unfailing love to anybody.

Our love definitely fails more often than not.

And if we’re completely honest, there are some folks we would rather not be in the same room with.

We humans are fantastic at sinning against each other and missing the mark. We deserve a prize for how great we are at it (an all-expense-paid trip to hell to be exact).

But offering perfect love at all costs? Well, we’re not so great at that.

God, thankfully, is not in the slightest like us.

Let me just put it like this:

God loves our worst enemy 5 million times more than we have the capacity to love our firstborn child.

It’s that deep.

The very moment we bend our knees and solemnly ask for forgiveness in Jesus’ name, our sins are erased, and we become like innocent newborn babies in His eyes.

And when we’re inconsolable with grief, loss, and depression, He is mourning right there with us.

Not only does He know exactly what we’re feeling when nobody else does, but He knows exactly how to help us overcome our challenges, become stronger, and come out victorious in the battles of our lives.

There’s no human being in the whole world we can trust to support and help us like that.

Our God is truly an awesome God.

So today (and every day) spend as much time as you can rejoicing in His unfailing, matchless, constant, dependable, endless, unfathomable, and undying love.

Be blessed,

Alexia

I can certainly attest to this Alexia! God’s love is so great that we can’t even wrap our human minds around it! But I do remember plenty of times when I was going thru and I couldn’t depend on anyone else, HE was there! Comforting me thru it all! Thank you Lord for your unfailing love!
