When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the Lord. So when Aaron and the people of Israel saw the radiance of Moses’ face, they were afraid to come near him – Exodus 34: 29-30

Have you ever been in someone’s presence and immediately felt their warmth?

Could you immediately sense their genuine spirit?

When you come across people like this, the evidence of their love for God and their relationship with Him is all over them. They don’t even have to speak a word.

You can just feel it emanating from them like a bright light.

And the cool thing about it is that they don’t even realize it!

Moses was so focused on talking with God, learning from Him, and being in His presence, that he didn’t even realize that he was being transformed.

Can you imagine the surprise on his face when Aaron and the people looked at him with fear?

He probably said, “Uh Oh… What are you guys looking at? Do I have something on my face? Is there a spider on my head?”

I can imagine them all exclaiming, “No, Moses! You’re shining with the light of God!”

When they saw him, they saw the glory of God, not any special quality that he possessed on his own will, merit, or efforts.

And what held true for Moses, still holds true for us today.

The light that emanates from us comes from us being in communion with God and allowing Him to fill us with His wonderful and matchless spirit.

So let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven! (Matthew 5:16)

Be blessed,

Alexia
